KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 39 foreign women were detained following raids on prostitution dens and massage parlours in the Klang Valley.

Their modus operandi is to offer massage services for as low as RM60 before offering sex services for additional charges.

The raids were conducted by Bukit Aman CID Anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division (D7) in Brickfields, Cheras, Dang Wangi, Kajang, Gombak and Ampang on Friday (July 5).

The division principal assistant director Senior Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said 39 women aged 19 to 50s, working as sex workers and massage therapists were detained following 10 raids conducted.

“A total of 22 women were from Thailand, five each from Vietnam and Indonesia, six from Laos and one from Cambodia.

“We also detained nine men, who worked at the counters of the premises,” he said when contacted on Sunday (July 7).

The management of the premises raided, not only employed foreign women without proper permits but also offered sex services to customers, he said.

“The premises operate from 10am till 1am daily and offer service for walk-in customers as well as bookings from WhatsApp.

“They catered mostly to foreigners and regular customers,” he said.

SAC Farouk said sex services were priced between RM150 and RM320 per session while massages cost between RM60 and RM120.

“Customers are also charged between RM50 and RM80 for additional services.

“Most of the foreign women misused their social visit passes while others did not even have any travel or identification documents,” he said.
