ALOR GAJAH: The police have initiated an investigation into the distressing case of a 14-year-old boy who allegedly faced severe bullying by his seniors at an Arabic boarding school in Alor Gajah.
According to Alor Gajah district police chief, Supt Arshad Abu, two 16-year-old male students who are believed to be involved in the bullying incident have been summoned to provide their statements.
“The police are currently finalizing the investigation paper, which will then be forwarded to the state prosecution director’s office,” said Supt Arshad Abu.
He further added, “The case falls under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which concerns voluntarily causing harm.”
Last Wednesday, it was reported that the 14-year-old boy tragically strangled his nine-year-old brother in Bukit Piatu.
It was later revealed that the teenager’s drastic change in behavior was a consequence of prolonged bullying that he had been suffering at the boarding school since last year. – Bernama
