HULU SELANGOR: A 26-year-old suspect in the murder of former Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) student Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah was brought to the crime scene at an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang here on Tuesday (July 16).

The man arrived at around 2.30pm in a four-vehicle convoy.

According to Sinar Harian, the suspect, dressed in an orange lock-up uniform, was accompanied by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Hulu Selangor district police headquarters.

His presence at the site was reportedly to assist with the investigation at the location where the body of Nur Farah Kartini, 25, was discovered.

It was previously reported that the suspect, who is also a police officer stationed in Perak, was remanded for seven days from Tuesday to be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The news outlet also reported that the body of Nur Farah Kartini, who had been missing since Wednesday (July 10) after delivering a rental car to a customer, was found in the plantation at about 6pm on Monday (July 15).

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan was reported as saying the victim’s body was found in an almost decomposed state, and it was believed she had been dead for several days.
