In Visakhapatnam on Saturday, England was all out for 253 in response to India’s first innings total of 396 on day two of the second test.
The only half-century in the England innings was scored by Zak Crawley, who made 76, while skipper Ben Stokes contributed 47.
Jasprit Bumrah took 6 wickets for India, giving away 45 runs and was the stand-out performer with the ball, while Kuldeep Yadav, the left-arm wrist spinner, took 3 wickets for 71 runs.
England are currently leading the five-match series 1-0.
