Australia has decided to stick with the same lineup for their World Cup game against Pakistan in an effort to revive their campaign. The five-time champions are currently in sixth place with just one victory, while Pakistan sits in fourth place with four points.
During the toss, Pakistan won and chose to field first, with captain Babar Azam believing it was a good pitch and hoping for early wickets. The only change in Pakistan’s team from their previous match against India is the inclusion of spinner Usama Mir, replacing Shadab Khan.
Australian captain Pat Cummins also stated that he would have chosen to bowl first and is looking to maintain the energy from their recent win against Sri Lanka in their upcoming match.
Here are the teams for the game:
Australia: David Warner, Mitch Marsh, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis (wicketkeeper), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoins, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins (captain), Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.
Pakistan: Imam ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam (captain), Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Usama Mir, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf.
