    Defence Minister to look into LTAT resignations and brief Cabinet, says PM

    Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin will inform the Cabinet about the recent resignations of top management at the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT), according to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

    The Prime Minister mentioned that Mohamed Khaled has been given the responsibility to investigate the situation.

    “(His findings) will then be reported to the Cabinet,” Anwar told reporters after launching the International Financial Hub at Exchange 106 at TRX on Friday (Feb 23).

    On Monday (Feb 19), another member of the LTAT leadership resigned, the third in the past month from the body which manages the pension fund for some 120,000 serving members of the Malaysian Armed Forces.

    LTAT head of strategic asset allocation or senior director of strategy, Dayana Rogayah Omar, 39, resigned on Monday.

    A corporate spokesman said Dayana resigned to pursue other interests and was currently serving out her notice period.

    This follows the resignations of chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Nazim Abd Rahman on Jan 31 and chairman Gen Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor on Feb 8.
