In a dialogue session on Sunday (March 17), the developer of the Taman Perdana housing project in Yong Peng, Johor, has agreed to utilize an alternate road as per Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
Following a meeting with local residents last Friday (March 15) where safety hazards at the construction site were highlighted, the Ayer Hitam MP organized the dialogue to address the concerns raised.
“The developer has opted for an alternate road, which is infrequently used by residents, to facilitate the entry and exit of large lorries at the construction site,” mentioned the MCA president in a Facebook post on Sunday (March 17).
Dr Wee expressed his gratitude to Yong Peng district council president Nur Faiz Jamil and all parties involved for their cooperation in resolving the issue effectively.
“With improved understanding and communication, we have been able to ensure the progress of development while prioritizing the safety of the residents,” Dr Wee emphasized.
Key attendees in the dialogue session included Johor exco member and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon, Yong Peng district council members, officials from the Public Works Department, representatives from residents’ association, as well as the developers and contractors of Taman Perdana.
