ELS English Language Ambassador Award

The 2023 ELS English Language Ambassador Award is open to Form Four and Form Five students in national schools. It consists of the Online Writing Course and the Essay Writing Competition.
The Online Writing Course runs from June 6 to Aug 30 and aims to improve students’ writing skills through online lessons.
The Essay Writing Competition will take place from Aug 1 to Aug 30. Students who complete the course with a grade of at least 70% can participate in the competition.
The grand prize is a one-week study tour to the University of Adelaide in Australia, including economy class tickets and accommodation for the winner and a parent or guardian.
The first runner-up will receive a cash award of RM1,500, while the second runner-up will be awarded RM750. Winners will also receive trophies, certificates, and one-year subscriptions to “Just English digital Magazine” and “digital English Skills Grammar & Vocabulary.”
Finalists from 4th to 10th place will also receive trophies, certificates, and one-year subscriptions to the digital resources.
Schools with high student participation levels will be recognized and rewarded. The grand champion’s school, along with the top 20 schools in the Online Writing Course, will receive trophies, certificates, and one-year subscriptions to the digital resources.
To participate, students must be nominated by their English language teachers via the digital Educational Learning Initiative Malaysia (DELiMa) portal.
The 2023 ELS English Language Ambassador Award is a corporate social responsibility initiative that aims to promote English language excellence in national schools. It is organized by ELS, in collaboration with the University of Adelaide, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Sunago Education, and Just English.
