SHAH ALAM: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s health is improving as he is currently undergoing treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

His aide, Sufi Yusoff, stated that the 99-year-old leader was still receiving treatment at IJN.

“Tun’s condition is getting better, yet he is still under treatment. However, it is still uncertain when Tun will be allowed to go home,” he said via WhatsApp on Thursday (Oct 17), according to Sinar Harian.

Previously, the former Langkawi MP was admitted to IJN due to a lung infection. He was hospitalized on Tuesday (Oct 15) afternoon and has been granted medical leave for 12 days until next Thursday.
