The MCA president, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, recently had a meeting with a group of research fellows to discuss various issues related to the people and the nation in Petaling Jaya.
These researchers were from TAR UMT, University of Malaya, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, and Xiamen University Malaysia.
Dr. Wee mentioned on Facebook that the researchers were experts in different fields and could provide valuable input and advice on a wide range of topics.
He listed the names of the researchers as Prof Dr Chong Shyue Chuan, Prof Anada Kumar Palaniappan, Assoc Prof Dr Tan Hui Yin, Assoc Prof Dr Lai Siow Li, Dr Normala S. Govindarajo, and Dr Grace Lim Chia Yien.
Dr. Wee also added that Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy, the Board of Governors chairman of TAR UMT, joined them for dinner.
He expressed MCA’s eagerness to collaborate with these researchers to provide constructive feedback on public policies, aiming to improve the lives of Malaysians.
He also thanked the Public Policy and People’s Livelihood Research Advisory Committee for organizing the dinner.
