Two men were arrested by the police in Gua Musang for their suspected involvement in a rioting incident at a sundry shop in Bandar Utama. The incident, which occurred at 8.30am last Friday, involved a group of armed men attacking a shop worker who had reprimanded them for stealing a carton of carbonated drinks from the premises. The suspects’ friends joined in the attack and damaged items in the shop. The police arrested the two main suspects, both in their 20s, on the same day at approximately 4.30pm. The police also seized the weapons used during the incident, including a brass knuckle. Additionally, the two suspects tested positive for benzos and methaphetamine. The case is being investigated under Section 379 and 148 of the Penal Code and Section 15(1)(A) of the Drug Dangerous Act 1952. – Bernama
