LONDON (Reuters) – easyJet, a British airline, stated on Sunday that it is currently operating its flights to Rhodes without any disruptions, despite the presence of wildfires on the Greek island. The company, however, mentioned that it is closely monitoring the situation for any unexpected changes.
In a statement, easyJet said, “We continue to closely monitor the situation regarding the wildfires on Rhodes. We advise customers who have booked their flights to and from Rhodes to stay updated on the status of their flights by visiting Flight Tracker.”
The airline further added that it is cooperating with the local authorities and keeping in touch with its customers in Rhodes. It assured that it is working to meet any requests or requirements outlined by the officials.
For passengers who have scheduled flights to or from Rhodes until July 29, easyJet has made special provisions. They can either choose to transfer their flights to another date free of charge or request a flight voucher equivalent to the value of their unused flights by contacting the Customer Services department.
