On Sunday (Jan 7), a fire at a car service centre in Kuala Lumpur caused severe damage to eight cars.
The City Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 8.08am reporting the fire at the service centre along Jalan Segambut Selatan.
“The responding team arrived at the scene at 8.16am, and found that the fire had engulfed a factory housing a Proton car service centre. Eight cars inside the building were damaged by 70%,” stated the department.
“The fire did not result in any victims. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation,” the statement said.
The department also reported that the fire had destroyed a filing cabinet room and a storeroom containing replacement parts.
