The appointment of Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani as the chairman of Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) has been announced by the organization. Taking effect from Friday (Sept 1), he replaces the former chairman Datuk Ahmad Nazlan Idris, who resigned from the position on Dec 20 last year.
Congratulations and warm welcome to Acryl Sani on his appointment as the chairman were extended by PUNB chief executive officer Izwan Zainuddin. The board of directors, management, and employees expressed their gratitude for his presence at PUNB.
In addition to his new role, Acryl Sani currently serves as an independent non-executive director and deputy chairman of Dagang NeXchange Bhd.
Before assuming his position at PUNB, Acryl Sani held several esteemed positions, including the nation’s 13th chief of police from May 4, 2021 to June 22 of this year. He also served as the director of Internal Security and Public Order Department from 2018 to 2020 and the director of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department in 2017.
Acryl Sani’s previous roles also include being the Perak police chief in 2013 and the Sarawak police commissioner from 2011 to 2013.
Acryl Sani is an accomplished individual with a Master of Science (Management) degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
