The family of a 16-year-old girl is appealing to the public for help in finding her. R. Mannimegalai was reported missing on October 8 at around 2.30am. According to Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan, the teenager lives with her family in Taman Cempaka. Her 42-year-old mother, who filed the report at noon on the same day, stated that her daughter left home after watching a TV show at 2.30am on Sunday. She added that despite searching their neighborhood and attempting to contact her daughter multiple times, there has been no response.
The family suspects that Mannimegalai may have left to be with her boyfriend. ACP Yahaya stated that there were no known issues within the family, and this is the first time Mannimegalai has gone missing. The family is concerned about her well-being and has no information about her boyfriend’s identity. The teenager was last seen wearing a soft blue cardigan, white singlet, and black leggings.
