A man, aged 42, was fatally injured after crashing his car into a tree while attempting to flee from an accident scene. The initial accident involved the man colliding with both a motorcycle and another vehicle.
According to Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, the incident occurred at approximately 7.30pm on Sunday (July 23).
“We were informed of a motorist’s fatality as a result of a multiple vehicle collision near Bulatan Puchong Prima,” said ACP Wan Azlan.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the driver of a Perodua Viva had first collided with a Proton Wira and a motorcycle before attempting to flee the scene.
“While trying to navigate a sharp corner along Jalan Desa Millenia, the Perodua crashed into a tree which led to the driver’s death at the scene,” stated ACP Wan Azlan during a media briefing on Monday (July 24).
The motorcyclist and his passenger, fortunately, escaped with only minor injuries.
“We have collected blood and urine samples from the deceased to determine if he was under the influence of any substances prior to the incident,” he added.
ACP Wan Azlan urged anyone with information regarding the case to contact Inspector Mohamad Hamdan Jeramatin at 019-464 2222.
