KLANG: In connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Kapar, five more men have been detained. According to North Klang OCPD Asst Comm S. Vijaya Rao, the suspects, aged between 30 and 40, were detained around Kapar between 11pm on Friday (Sept 1) and 5am on Saturday (Sept 2). When contacted on Saturday, he said, “They have been remanded until Tuesday (Sept 5). This brings the total number of suspects to six.” The motive for the murder is still under investigation.
Previously, it was reported that a man in his 20s had been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting on Friday. The victim, a 36-year-old man with a history of drug and criminal-related offenses, was found dead with gunshot wounds along Jalan Hamzah Alang 22/KU9 on Aug 30. According to witnesses, they heard sounds of gunfire, and there had also been a small traffic accident at the scene.
Videos of the victim lying on the ground and of a crashed motorcycle had been shared on social media.
