MELAKA: Courtyard by Marriott here is offering a RM23 lunch set, giving people a chance to experience dining with views of pre-war houses at Kampung Bukit Cina.

The hotel’s general manager Lee Ng said the objective of offering the value lunch set is also to build a close rapport with local residents.

“There is a choice of dishes offered for lunch and it only costs RM23 with a drink,” he said after the launching of mooncakes for the Mid Autumn Festival on Saturday (Aug 12).

Lee said the hotel also hopes to create unique culinary experiences and build closer relationships with those living in the area as well as its guests.

He said the hotel takes pride in its identity on the edge of the city’s heritage site.

“We are situated close to the oldest Catholic church in the country and we are surrounded by the old quarter of the historic city,” he said.

Lee said Courtyard by Marriott is also leveraging on the area by naming one of its outlets the “1939 Lounge” by adopting the signage of a heritage building fronting the hotel.

He said the hotel wants to build unique elements by capitalising on its surrounding historical elements.

Lee added that the hotel received its five-star rating from the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry last month.
