Over half of the victims have been allowed to return home since 4pm as the flood situation improved, as stated by the Committee.

As of 8pm, the total number of evacuees is 136 people in Mersing, 124 in Kota Tinggi, 88 in Segamat, 85 in Kluang, and 23 in Batu Pahat.

Two rivers, Sungai Muar in Kampung Tekam, Segamat, and Sungai Kahang in Kampung Contoh, Kluang, continue to be at a dangerous level, as reported by the Committee.

The statement also mentioned that two dams, Machap Dam in Kluang and Labong Dam in Mersing, are still at dangerous levels.
