KUALA LUMPUR: A man was discovered murdered inside a car during the early hours of Wednesday (Sept 6).

The body of the 26-year-old victim was found in a Proton Gen2 around 12:50am near a petrol station at Batu 14, Puchong.

Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid, the city police chief, stated that initial investigations indicated that the victim was kidnapped by a group of men at Kampung Muhibbah People’s Housing Project (PPR) on Sunday (Sept 3).

“After the incident, the victim’s father filed a report at the Bukit Jalil police station at 5am on Monday (Sept 4).

“The father received information about the abduction from his son’s girlfriend,” he said in a phone interview on Thursday (Sept 7).

Based on the information, the police detained four men, aged between 27 and 35, in the Klang Valley area.

“The victim’s body was then discovered in Batu 14, Puchong,” he added.

Comm Allaudeen mentioned that the police believed the motive for the crime was revenge, as the main suspect accused the victim of stealing his valuable possessions. The main suspect, who is in his 40s and is a foreigner, is still at large.

“We are still searching for two more suspects, including the main suspect,” he said.

All four detained suspects had prior criminal records, including drug-related offenses, and they tested positive for drugs.

The case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code for abduction, while the Selangor police will handle the murder investigation under Section 302.

A post-mortem examination at Serdang Hospital revealed that the victim had a broken jaw and ribs, as well as a fractured skull.
