Four-year-old dies after crushed by tree in Jempol

In Batu Kikir near JEMPOL, a tragic accident occurred when a four-year-old boy was fatally injured by a falling tree at a recreational park.

According to district police chief Supt Hoo Chang Hook, the victim and his nine-year-old sister were playing in the children’s pool and heading towards their father around 1pm when the tree fell on them.

“The siblings were playing in the children’s pool and then walked towards their father, who was not far away,” he said.

Tragically, the tree fell and crushed the young boy. His sister also sustained injuries and was taken to Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital for treatment.

Supt Hoo stated that the incident has been classified as sudden death, and urged any witnesses to come forward and assist the police investigation by contacting the district police station at 06 4582222/253.
