WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Fulton County Georgia court clerk confirmed on Tuesday that a document alleging criminal charges against Donald Trump had been mistakenly released on its website, as reported by Reuters on Monday.
The court clerk explained that they had been conducting tests on their system when the document was inadvertently made public. The grand jury was scheduled to vote later in the day on whether to indict the former U.S. president for attempting to overturn his election defeat.
On Monday, the court released a statement clarifying that the document in question was “fictitious” and had been obtained by a media outlet.
