(Reuters) – Tiger Woods is set to play with fellow major winners Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland in the first two rounds of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera this week. This event marks Woods’ return to the PGA Tour for the first time since April of last year.
The trio will tee off on Thursday at 12:25 p.m. ET (1725 GMT) and at 2:54 p.m. ET for the second round on Friday, as per the groupings and tee times released on Tuesday.
Woods will be wearing apparel from his new Sun Day Red apparel brand for the tournament. He last played a PGA Tour event at the Masters in April, where he withdrew due to plantar fasciitis after making the cut.
Following ankle surgery, Woods made his professional golf return at the end of November at the Hero World Challenge, an unofficial PGA Tour event with a limited field and no cut.
Woods, who is scheduled for a pre-tournament press conference on Wednesday, finished in a share of 45th place last year at Riviera, shooting one under par through four rounds.
The Genesis Invitational is one of the PGA Tour’s eight Signature Events this year and includes a halfway cut and a $20 million purse, with $4 million going to the winner.
Woods is also serving as a tournament host this week.
