    PETALING JAYA: The Court of Appeal has ordered Lim Guan Eng to pay RM250,000 to former Baling MP Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim over a defamation lawsuit.

    Abdul Azeez had appealed against a Penang High Court decision on Dec 11, 2020 dismissing his defamation suit against Lim, who is former Penang chief minister, in connection with the construction of the Penang undersea tunnel project.

    On May 19, a three-member panel of the Court of Appeal, comprising Justices Azizah Nawawi, Mariana Yahya and Azimah Omar, heard the appeal and deferred their decision.
