IPOH: The haze issue will be addressed in Parliament on Monday (Oct 9), according to Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, the Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change Minister. He stated that the matter will be discussed during the session.

During the launch of the Papan 2 Regional Sewage Treatment Plant (RSTP) near Pusing on Saturday (Oct 7), reporters questioned Nik Nazmi about efforts to address the recurring problem of transboundary haze. He responded by stating that he will provide an explanation when MPs inquire about the haze issue.

On Friday (Oct 6), Nik Nazmi mentioned that Malaysia is awaiting a response from Indonesia regarding their efforts to combat the transboundary haze. He also mentioned that the matter will be followed up with Indonesia’s Environment and Forestry Minister, Siti Nurbaya Bakar.
