PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced plans to personally review the salary and allowance scheme of civil servants, aiming to ensure a fair and reasonable compensation for their services.
According to the Prime Minister, it has been more than a decade since a committee last evaluated the salaries of civil servants. To address this issue, Anwar will lead the committee, which will also include the Chief Secretary to the Government and the Public Service Department director-general.
During a session with enforcement agency staff on Thursday (July 13), Anwar emphasized his commitment to provide deserving benefits to civil servants.
Anwar further mentioned that a meeting regarding this matter will be scheduled soon, demonstrating the government’s dedication to addressing the welfare of civil servants.
