According to Xinhua, a team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has shown its approval for the efforts made by Gabon’s interim authorities in managing the country’s public finances. IMF Director for Africa Vitaliy Kramarenco has been leading the delegation in Libreville, Gabon’s capital, since January 4.
On Thursday, the delegation conducted a working session with Minister of Public Accounts Charles M’ba and issued a statement encouraging further effort by the Gabonese government towards economic and financial stability.
The IMF has been focusing on the economic and financial situation of Gabon, a small country in Central Africa known for its oil reserves, through multiple working sessions with various authorities since early January.
