Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to embark on a two-day visit to Malaysia, with the aim of enhancing bilateral defence ties. Scheduled to begin on Monday (July 10), Singh will meet with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and engage in discussions with Malaysian Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, as announced by the Indian Defence Ministry on Saturday. The primary objective of these discussions is to evaluate and strengthen defence cooperation between the two nations, while also exploring potential new initiatives. Furthermore, the ministers will exchange perspectives on regional and global matters of mutual interest. Highlighting the significance of the visit, the ministry stated, “India and Malaysia share a common interest in promoting peace and prosperity within the entire region. As two democracies, our relationship is multifaceted and robust, particularly in areas such as defence and security.”
