PETALING JAYA: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Education Ministry have instructed that all security threats targeting schools and other educational institutions must be reported immediately.
The ministry emphasized that these institutions must follow the instructions issued by the authorities.

“All educational institutions (under the ministry) are requested to comply with the security procedures that have been set,” it said in a statement on Wednesday (Nov 22).
It stated that the close collaboration with PDRM helps ensure the safety of all educational institutions.
Several international schools nationwide received bomb threats on Tuesday (Nov 21), with further incidents reported on Wednesday.

“The ministry takes this issue seriously and always prioritises the safety of teachers, students and all citizens in educational institutions under its purview,” the ministry added.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated that the incident is being investigated.
However, upon being contacted, Comm Hussein mentioned that the authorities believed the threat might be a hoax.
