KUALA LUMPUR: Jet Valet Sdn Bhd has confirmed that it received a report regarding the incident involving one of its airplanes which crashed in Elmina, Shah Alam, Selangor on Thursday (Aug 17).
The company, which operates the airplane, stated that it is still awaiting confirmation from the authorities on the incident. However, it pledges full commitment and cooperation in the investigation.
“Currently, Jet Valet cannot officially confirm any further details, including the loss of lives, as we are awaiting confirmation from the authorities,” the company declared in a statement released on Thursday.
The incident occurred when an aircraft reportedly crashed on a road near a housing area in Bandar Elmina. As of now, it is believed that 10 local men lost their lives in the tragic incident.
In response to the crash, the Elmina Interchange, in both directions from the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), has been temporarily closed. The closure is a precautionary measure following the incident.
Jet Valet assured the public that it will provide updates on the incident as they become available. “All latest information and developments will be announced from time to time,” the company stated.
