Recent advancements in artificial intelligence have the potential to significantly impact millions of jobs, either by changing them completely or making them redundant. While this prospect causes concern among employees, it is also driving some to seek out job opportunities that involve AI.

A new report from LinkedIn has highlighted this unexpected trend. It found that job posts referencing AI are particularly appealing to job seekers, leading to a 17% increase in applications over the past two years, compared to those not mentioning AI. This growth indicates a strong interest in AI within the workforce.

This trend appears to be global, as the job offers analyzed by LinkedIn for this study were written in various languages, including French, English, Mandarin, and Turkish.

Erin Scruggs, vice president of global talent acquisition at LinkedIn, sees this as a sign of the adaptability of many professionals. She states, “Candidates are savvy. They’re showing they want to go where opportunities are.”

Scruggs also recommends that companies provide detailed information about their AI strategy in job postings to help employees better envision the future of work with AI.

While the impact of AI on the job market is still unknown, experts predict significant changes. Goldman Sachs estimated that AI systems could automate 300 million jobs, which is a quarter of global activity. Employment website Indeed suggests that all jobs will be impacted by AI.

Regardless of differing opinions, it is clear that workers will need to learn to collaborate effectively with AI in the future. They will need to continuously update their skills and knowledge to adapt to the evolving landscape of AI.

According to IBM’s “Augmented Work for an Automated, AI-Driven World” report, human talents will continue to be valuable in the job market. However, continuous learning and up-to-date knowledge will be necessary due to the rapid evolution of AI.

While AI will not completely replace humans, it will likely widen the gap between the workforce. Those who are able to master AI will likely have an advantage over those who resist it. – AFP Relaxnews
