Jordan has revealed plans to construct a significant solar panel factory in the southeast Amman airport region, as reported by the state-run Petra news agency. The project, funded by Jordanian investment, is estimated to cost around 100 million Jordanian dinars (approximately 141 million U.S. dollars) and is predicted to generate over 500 employment opportunities. Spanning an area of 130 dunams (equivalent to 13 hectares), the factory is scheduled to commence production by the conclusion of 2023, as stated by the Jordanian government. The announcement was made during the A Year on Modernization forum, attended by more than 600 officials and experts from diverse sectors, held at the Dead Sea area of Jordan on Saturday.
