Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) has stated that the transformation of education in Al-Quran studies and worship introduced in Kemas preschools has successfully instilled faith in children at an early stage. He made this statement during his speech at the opening of the national-level 2023 Kemas Potential Day celebration in Dataran Kemerdekaan, Shah Alam.
Ahmad Zahid emphasized the importance of teaching prayer as the main focus of worship, stating that it must be taught from an early age. He also mentioned that the transformation by Kemas is in line with current needs and is based on requests from parents and the community. Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari was in attendance at the event as well.
During the ceremony, Kemas received two Malaysia Book of Records certificates. One was for the record of ‘Largest Children Participation In Building Block Event’, which involved 3,000 children, and the other was for the record of ‘Largest Children Participation in A Selawat Recital’, which involved 2,000 students.
The 18th national-level Kemas Potential Day celebration began on Friday and will last for three days.
