Kuala Lumpur: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Awards JMN to Former Director-General
Former Land and Mines Department director-general Datuk Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad received the Darjah Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) award from Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
Datuk Mohd Nazrul Izam Mansor, the group chief executive officer of FGV Holdings Berhad, also received the JMN award.
The investiture ceremony, which took place at Istana Negara, celebrated the official birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and saw a total of 292 recipients receiving federal awards, medals, and honors.
Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah was in attendance, along with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
Sjn Norihan Tari from the 3rd Battalion, General Operations Force (GOF), Bidor, Perak, was the sole recipient of the Darjah Panglima Gagah Berani (PGB) award.
Norihan’s bravery was highlighted when, on Nov 24, 2020, during a patrol in Padang Besar, Perlis, he engaged in a gun battle with smugglers, resulting in the death of his colleague and his own serious injury.
After the ceremony, Norihan expressed his gratitude for the recognition of his service to the country.
A total of 11 individuals received the JMN award, while 13 individuals were conferred the Darjah Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM) award.
There were also two recipients of the Darjah Johan Setia Diraja (JSD) award, 69 recipients of the Darjah Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) award, and four recipients of the Kesatria Setia Diraja (KSD) award.
Additionally, 90 individuals received the Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) award, 88 individuals received the Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN) award, 12 individuals received the Bentara Setia Diraja (BSD) award, and two individuals received the BSD Kehormat award.
