The 2023 Istana Negara and the Public Service Charity Golf Tournament took place at the Kuala Lumpur Public Service Golf Club (KGPA) on Saturday (Sept 30), with the participation of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
As stated on Istana Negara’s Facebook page, the competition was organized by the Public Service Department in order to enhance the relationship between Istana Negara and the Public Service. His Majesty represented the Istana Negara team among the 52 participants.
The team from the Public Service emerged as the champions of the tournament and won the challenge trophy. Major General Datuk Indera Zahari Mohd Ariffin, the Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara, led the Istana Negara team while the Civil Service team was led by Datuk Seri Sollehuddin Alyubi Zakaria, the senior deputy secretary-general of the Prime Minister’s Department.
Prior to the tournament, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali and Public Service Department director-general Datuk Dr Zulkapli Mohamed welcomed His Majesty.
