The business tithe from corporate entities to the Pahang Council of Islamic Religious and Malay Customs (MUIP) in Kuantan was witnessed by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
On Monday (Oct 23), three corporate entities presented a total of RM8.4mil in business tithe to the Regent of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, who is also the president of MUIP. Al-Sultan Abdullah presided over the event, while Tengku Panglima Raja Col Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, who is MUIP’s deputy president, also attended.
Pahang State Secretary’s Corporation contributed RM4mil as their business tithe, while Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad (Kosma) and Mr. Bentong World Trading presented tithe amounts of RM2.4mil and RM2mil respectively.
Before the presentation ceremony, Al-Sultan Abdullah chaired the 190th Meeting of MUIP. Also in attendance were Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and MUIP chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Hairi Hussain.
