KUALA LUMPUR: The police are investigating a track intrusion that temporarily disrupted Light Transit Rail (LRT) services on the Kelana Jaya Line.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said a police report has been lodged on the matter.

“We are investigating under Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass,” he said when contacted Tuesday (Oct 8).

It was reported that commuter train services on the Kelana Jaya Line were temporarily disrupted on Monday (Oct 7) after a track intrusion.

“Trains are experiencing service disruption between Masjid Jamek and Bangsar due to a track intrusion.

“Track inspections are being conducted to locate the intruder,” train operator RapidKL said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) at 7.46pm on Monday.

In an update at 8.06pm, it said train services had resumed.

“The trespassers could not be found, and train services will be resumed.

“The train frequency is being regulated and will return to normal shortly,” read the post.
