KULAI: The office of a deputy minister here has been broken into after several other primary schools experienced similar incidents.
Deputy Communication Minister Teo Nie Ching, who is also Kulai MP, said her office was broken into about two weeks ago.
“Yes, there have been such cases and my office was also broken into about two weeks ago, around the same time similar incidents happened in the schools.
“We lost several items in the burglary, including a tablet, mobile phones, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
“A report has been made to the police, and we hope that they can solve the case soon so that the people in Kulai can feel safe again,” she said.
Teo said this during a press conference after visiting a communication tower here.
She was responding to a question about break-in cases at schools in the area.
It was learnt that a total of five schools, four Chinese vernacular schools and one government primary school, had experienced the incidents.
Meanwhile, Kulai OCPD Supt Tan Seng Lee confirmed that the police has received a report about the MP’s office.
