According to European Council President Charles Michel, it is uncertain if the leaders of the G20 group will come to an agreement on a declaration at the end of the summit in New Delhi. Michel expressed the European Union’s desire for the G20 countries to address global challenges related to food and energy security. These challenges include Russia blocking the passage of grain shipments from Ukraine through the Black Sea, which has an impact on food security in multiple nations.
Michel acknowledged that the summit would not resolve all major global issues. However, the EU aims to accelerate efforts towards sustainable development goals and convey a message on climate change and poverty reduction.
