BRASILIA (Reuters) – Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and his Colombian counterpart Gustavo Petro are set to hold a phone call on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Venezuela after a disputed election, two sources familiar with the matter said.
Brazil and Colombia have coordinated their diplomatic efforts to negotiate an end to the Venezuelan crisis since the July 28 election in the country. They have called for the release of detailed voting tallies by Venezuelan authorities.
