The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki, has expressed his determination to ensure that the MACC continues to be relevant, effective, and makes a positive contribution to the nation in the upcoming year.
In a video message for his New Year’s address, Azam stated that the MACC can achieve more success in 2024 through hard work and improvement in key areas.
He emphasized that there are several focuses and aims for the upcoming year to ensure that the commission remains relevant and effective, not only in helping the nation achieve zero corruption but also in reducing fund leakages and improving the nation’s economy.
Azam also reminded all members of the MACC that the new year may bring new challenges, and it is important for them to rise to the occasion.
He stressed the importance of embracing change in thinking, working, and acting, as well as learning from past mistakes and staying away from wrongdoing in order to meet the demands of new tasks in the upcoming year.
Azam urged all members of the MACC to elevate their level of integrity, skills, and knowledge in order to achieve the mission and vision of the commission.
He closed his message by wishing a Happy New Year to all members of the MACC and all Malaysians.
