(Reuters) – A magnitude 6.8 earthquake shook Mindanao in the Philippines in the early hours of Monday morning, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).
The quake occurred at a depth of 38 km (23.61 miles), as reported by GFZ.
GFZ had initially estimated the earthquake’s magnitude to be 6.3.
The U.S. Tsunami Warning System reassured that there was no risk of a tsunami following the earthquake.
