JOHOR BARU: Mahkota assemblyman Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain is currently in critical condition and is being treated at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Kluang due to health issues.
It is learned that the two-term assemblyman was brought to the hospital by her family on Tuesday (July 30) night due to her health condition.
It is also learned that Sharifah Azizah, 63, is currently being treated at the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).
Meanwhile, Johor Umno secretary Datuk Abdul Halim Suleiman, who is also the Tebrau division chief, confirmed the matter saying that Sharifah Azizah’s situation was critical.
“It is true that she is currently being warded at the hospital and her health condition is quite critical.
Sharifah Azizah, who is also Umno Wanita Kluang division chief, is the former Johor Umno wanita chief.
She won the Mahkota state seat during the Johor state election in 2022. Before that, Sharifah Azizah was the Penawar assemblyman from 2018 to 2022.
