Maid in protection, says ambassador, politician cries slander

The Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Hermono, has confirmed that the maid who was allegedly abused by a politician is currently being protected by the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Responding to the case of a 57-year-old woman from Central Java who was reportedly abused by her employer, who is said to be a politician from a ruling party, Hermono stated, “Yes, she is currently being given protection at the embassy.”

While the politician in question strongly denies the allegations, claiming it is slander, he has announced that he will be releasing a press statement regarding the matter soon.
