PETALING JAYA: A suspect from GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd is expected to be charged at the Putrajaya Court on Wednesday (Sept 18).
Kuala Lumpur police said the male suspect is expected to face the charges at 8am, Sinar Harian reported.
“One male individual from GISBH will be charged under Section 506 of the Penal Code (for criminal intimidation) on Wednesday,” it said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 17).
Earlier, 172 out of 402 children were rescued by police during the Ops Global raid at 20 charitable homes.

They were suspected to have been exploited, resulting in physical and emotional harm.
A total of 159 individuals, comprising 39 men and 120 women, were arrested in the operation conducted on Sept 11.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain revealed that health screenings of the victims detected five criminal elements: physical and emotional abuse, child grooming, child labour, child neglect and malnutrition.

Last Wednesday, Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department conducted a raid on several charity homes in Selangor and Negri Sembilan, rescuing 402 individuals, comprising 201 males and 201 females, aged between one and 17 years.
The police investigation is centred around allegations of child exploitation connected to charity homes believed to be owned by GISB.

Previously, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain revealed that authorities recorded statements from 740 individuals, including 30 complainants, 216 witnesses, 392 victims and 102 suspects.
He also disclosed that the investigation into GISB uncovered links to organised crime.
