KUALA SELANGOR: A man who had absconded with two children in Cheras has been arrested.
Acting Kuala Selangor OCPD Dept Supt Mohd Ambia Nordin, in a statement on Sunday (July 21), said a 32-year-old suspect was arrested in Jeram at 2.40am.
“We are still investigating the motive for the kidnapping,” he said.
He said that the suspect had a prior criminal record for burglary.
He added that the suspect is remanded for five days.
“The public is advised to always ensure that children are monitored when they are outside to avoid any unwanted incidents,” he said.
On July 19, two girls, aged six and eight, were kidnapped by a man at Taman Ikan Emas. The girls were later found near their home in Taman Kelisa at around 7.45pm.
