KOTA KINABALU: A man injured his head and arms after a tree fell on him at a farm in Penampang near here.
The 46-year-old was chopping trees on his farm at Kg Togudon when one fell on him, said State Fire and Rescue Department officials, Thursday (Oct 31).
Officials said luckily, the tree which fell on the man was not huge.
Penampang Fire Station chief Zeno Tingalan said they received a call at around 12.08pm and arrived at the scene some 35km away from the station, at around 12.40pm.
He said firemen had to trek small hills and cross a river to reach the man.
“Upon reaching the scene, the victim was given early medical attention before he was carried out on a stretcher and taken to the hospital for further treatment,” he said in a statement.
Zeno said the victim was reported stable.
Firemen wrapped up their operations at around 4.16pm.
