    Man reported missing at Sungai Jempol pump house found drowned

    KUANTAN: An individual who had gone missing at the Sungai Jempol pump house in Jengka 4, Maran, was discovered drowned at 7.05pm on Friday (Jan 26).

    Zulfadli Zakaria, the spokesperson for the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department, stated that the victim, Mohd Rohaizan Abdullah, 51, was located approximately 700 metres away from where his motorcycle had been found.

    The victim, a person with disabilities who lived at Felda Ulu Jempol, Maran, did not return home after leaving at 8am on Thursday. His motorcycle was discovered at the pump house in the afternoon.

    In a separate occurrence, Zulfadli mentioned that the department had been alerted to a potential drowning in Sungai Emas, Sungai Lembing, at 3.50pm on Friday.

    However, the victim has not yet been identified, and a search and rescue operation commenced in the evening. – Bernama
