Authorities in George Town have apprehended a man in his 40s who held his mother hostage and made threats to detonate his apartment unit. The Fire and Rescue Department was notified of the situation and dispatched rescuers to the scene on Tuesday (Feb 13) at 10:57pm.
The department stated, “We received a report of a suicide threat, and the victim had acted aggressively by injuring his 65-year-old mother and threatened to discharge two canisters of liquefied petroleum gas at home.
