MCA is actively participating in the ongoing state polls as a component party of Barisan Nasional. On Friday night (Aug 4), the party president, Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong, met with voters in Rantau, Negri Sembilan, and shared photos of the campaign trail in support of Barisan deputy chairman and incumbent Rantau state assemblyman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, also known as Tok Mat.

Despite his illness, Dr Wee acknowledged Tok Mat’s significant contributions to the Rantau state assembly and the rapid developments he brought to the state, particularly during his tenure as the Mentri Besar.

Dr Wee appealed to the voters to show their strong support for Tok Mat on polling day, which will take place on August 12. He urged them to grant Tok Mat the mandate to protect and defend the fate of the people of Rantau.

During the dinner event attended by approximately 400 voters, Dr Wee was accompanied by several MCA leaders, including MCA Deputy Treasurer General Datuk Ir. Lawrence Low, MCA Seremban division cum National Organisation Deputy Secretary Leaw Kok Chan, and Negri Sembilan MCA Chairman Siow Koi Voon.

Also present at the event were MCA Central Committee Member cum MCA Rasah Division Chairman Yap Siok Moy, Rembau Division Chairman Chow Kam Sang, MCA Jelebu Division Chairman Roger Seet, MCA Kuala Pilah Division Chairman Datuk Chai Fa Fui, and MCA Negri Sembilan Women’s wing chief Loh Siew Ying. In addition, other MCA state leaders and representatives from non-governmental organizations were in attendance.
